All of the Leaders of the 72nd Watford South Cub Scout Pack recognise that fostering appropriate behaviour is an essential part of the environment in which the Cub Scout Pack operates successfully.

  • Every Leader and every Cub Scout has a responsibility to ensure that a friendly and positive atmosphere is nurtured to enable the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of others as individuals, responsible citizens and as members of the Pack.
  • All Cub Scouts have a responsibility for the well being of other members in the Pack.
  • Leaders set a good example at all times to all members in the Pack, in turn the Sixers and Seconds behaviour should also set a good example to the rest of the Pack.
  • Cubs should strive to keep the Cub Scout Law and Promise which are fundamental to Membership of the Pack

Cub Scout Promise

I promise, that I will do my best to do my duty to God and the Queen,

to help other people and to keep the Cub Scout Law.

Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best, thinks of others before themselves and do a good turn every day.

  • Mobile phones can cause disruption.  Please leave them at home.If an emergency call is required to be made, there is a telephone within the building and Leaders have mobile phones.
  • No sweets, chewing gum or fizzy drinks are to be brought into the Pack meeting. Cold drinking water is available in the kitchen to slake any thirst from physical exertion.
  • A Cub Pack can be a noisy environment.  It is normal practice for a Leader to raise their arm to gain the Pack’s attention. When a Cub sees a Leader with a raised arm they must respond by stopping what they are doing and raising their arm in response.  This maintains control without the need to shout.
  • It is normal practice to ask permission to leave the hall, for toilet visits or to get a drink of water.  This ensures that Leaders can account for everyone at all times.
