Simple directions to Phasels Wood from the town hall roundabout, and also back again!

  1. From the ‘Town Hall’ roundabout on Rickmansworth Road take the Hempstead Road exit past the Central lesuire centre and West Herts College.
  2. Keep on the Hempstead Road, and at the first roundabout, where you take the 2nd exit (straight on).
  3. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, and head up the hill.
  4. As you come down the hill there is a small layby at the bottom of the hill, turn in here and at the far end of the layby is the the entrance to Phasels Wood.
  5. Follow the track round to the left for the main car park, unless we’re going for a big event when there will be volunteers directing traffic.

Now, how to get home again (not that hard!).

  1. Come out of Phasels Wood the way you came in, onto the layby and turn left onto the dual carriage way.
  2. Take the next exit from the dual carriage way, and take the 3rd exit from the ‘longabout’ you come to, which sends you back along the road you came on.
  3. Follow the road straight back to Watford.
